I rewrote the entire site with Hugo. It’s exactly like my site before except now all the pages are dynamically organized which is super cool. Essentially everytime you edit the site you have to rebuild it which will do things like order the blog posts list (among other things). It looks much more organized and it will be significantly easier to maintain a simple blog. Of course I wrote my own code instead of using a pre-configuration (of which many exist) because that would defeat the point of the personal web in my opinion. The only downside is the very small javascript overhead which I don’t really mind as it’s very lightweight.

Mastodon is a cool idea but the people on it are something… I might as well just use this website instead.
